Welcome to WCC 2012

We invite you to an extremely exciting event in Amsterdam. The IFIP World Computer Congress 2012 will address an issue that is of interest to all of you and of great importance to our society. While innovations like cloud computing emerge and come to fruition gradually or overnight, it is not always clear what the impact of such innovations is on our lives, individually and for communities or even society at large. Since it is impossible to completely predict the effects of new developments, whether it is hardware, software or application based, it is possible to increase the positive effects by paying attention to the professionalism of those experts working on such innovations. This not only refers to knowledge but also to skills. The congress will address all these issues in a divers way with many high level and renowned speakers. The event will provide interactive sessions with the participants. You will all be involved in contributing to the outcome of the event: the agenda of actions needed to meet the challenges posed by the impact of innovations.

Pay attention to our regular updates on the progress of preparations and subscribe to our electronic Newsletter. We promise you that you will remember WCC 2012 for a long time as one of the most worthwhile gatherings you have ever attended.
